What We Believe
On The Bible And The Godhead
We believe in the Holy Scripture, accepting fully the writings of the Old (39 books) and New (27 books) Testaments as the very Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts in its original autographs, as our infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life, His shed blood for atonement; His bodily resurrection; His ascension into Heaven there to be our Intercessor; His lordship over all creation.

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, makes believers children of God through the new birth, assures them of Heaven, and enables Christians to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit also bestows certain gifts to be used for ministry through the local church. Certain sign gifts, such as tongues and the interpretation of tongues, were active among first century churches, and “ceased of themselves” at the completion of the canon of Scripture.

On The Second Coming Of Christ
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and choice and have within themselves no possible means of salvation without Christ.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith; that salvation is the free gift of God, not by any virtue or works of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; and that all true believers possess the gift of eternal life with a divine guarantee that they shall never perish.

We believe in the existence of Satan, the deceiver of men, accuser of the brethren, and god of this present world. He was defeated and judged at the cross, and, therefore, his final doom is certain.

We believe in the second coming of Christ; the time being unrevealed but always imminent; that when He comes, He will, by resurrection of the dead and translation of the living, remove from the earth His waiting church, and pour out the righteous judgments of God upon the unbelieving world. Afterward, He will descend with His church and establish His glorious and literal kingdom over all the nations for a thousand years.

We believe that the spirits of the saved, at death, go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven; that at His second coming their works will be judged and rewards determined; that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into Hell until the final day of judgment, at which time they shall be judged according to their works and cast into the lake of fire, the place of final and everlasting punishment.

On The Nature Of The Church
We believe the offices of the church are Pastor and Deacon. We believe that these offices are to be occupied by Scripturally qualified males.

We believe the two scriptural ordinances given to the local church are the baptism of believers by immersion, and the Lord's Supper. Both of these are emblematic and impart no saving grace to the participants.

We believe that a New Testament church is a local, visible, organized body of born-again baptized believers proclaiming the Gospel, practicing scriptural ordinances, and actively fulfilling the Great Commission.

We believe in the priesthood of all believers- that Christ, being our Great High Priest, grants to every born-again person direct access into God's presence without the need of a human mediator;
We believe that the regenerated Christian has the soul competency to worship God, offering acceptable spiritual sacrifices, and has both the right and responsibility to personally study and understand the Scriptures as guided by the Holy Spirit.
